One of our team members, Tiara Duffy, leaves August 7 to study midwifing in the Philippines. “All I know is that I’m supposed to go to the Philippines and become a midwife. After that, God has to let me know.”
Earlier this year, Tiara was accepted to the Newlife International School of Midwifery, a non-denominational school that prepares midwives specifically for foreign missions. Tiara will immerse herself in intensive study and clinical ministry for the next two years. Newlife is an extension of “Mercy Maternity Center, which is the largest charity-based birthing clinic in the Philippines serving almost 20,000 patients (prenatal exams) annually.” During her studies, Tiara will have the opportunity to actively participate and eventually oversee deliveries of babies.
For the past year and a half, Tiara has headed up our Milagro Mexico ministry. Her commitment to the needs of the poor in Mexico has prepared her for this next chapter in her life.
Please join us as we pray in support of our dear friend in her next great adventure!
